Bedoin, a typical Provençal village

Bedoin, near the Les Verguettes camp-site, snuggles at the bottom of the southern face of the Mont Ventoux and has its own special climate with sunshine almost every day, as it is sheltered from the gusty “Mistral” wind which blows from the North.

The Bedoin market is an event not to be missed. The whole village is reserved for the market and its visitors. Scents of the Provence, olives, tapenades, take-away meals, herbs and spices, cheese – you can find everything at the Bedoin market.

Roussillon, a typical Provençal village

In the heart of the Lubéron, listed as another of the most beautiful villages in France, Roussillon will enchant you with its ochre rocks which are constantly changing colour in the varying light. The warmth and charm of the small hillside houses will enchant you.

Today, the colour ochre still attracts tourists: ochre-painted houses in the narrow shop-lined streets; you can also take the Ochre Paths and visit the Colorado of the Provence.
